Google and Indonesia

The recent tax settlement between Google and Indonesia show how Southeast Asia’s biggest economy will likely work with tech companies. Google and Indonesia agreed to future payments going forward. Senior tax officials in Indonesia estimate Google could be accountable for $400 million if they wanted to push the issue, based on about that much revenue to the tech giant.

Facebook faces a similar threat, but now have this precedent to work with.
